[it's actually mildly upsetting-- archie recognises a lot of the patterns in finn's behaviour he's been through himself. he knows how these spirals go.]
These powers we get are weird and fucky things, are they not? Took me forever to build up the courage to try my water breathin'.
[ If Finn's learned anything with the First Order, it's that intentions don't matter. Actions do. Or at least... when it only concerns him. But he's not about to try explaining that can of worms to Archie. ]

[ Finn grimaces at the underwater sucker punch thing, but makes himself busy by opening his unit's door and heading for the kitchen. ]
That's all. The rest are skills from home, you know? Combat experience. Some survival and first aid basics. Things like that. But-... Wait, what are your powers?
And, uh-... Home, right. He sets Archie's water on the table but sits with a... small grimace. ] If you've ever heard Poe talk about it, it's basically the same. Except I kind of grew up in the war, I guess.
You know 622 and Rex, right? I was like them. [ Sort of. ]
[he hums, listening. it's as fascinating as it is depressing!]
I haven't pressed him too much about it-- I know he doesn't like to talk about it. [he nods in conformation at knowing the clones.] I'm glad you have a chance to be here and experience a bullshit of a different kind.
[he claps his hands together.]
This world is new to me as well, but if you ever want to see more of it I can give you directions or come with ya, if you ain't sick of me yet!

Finn smiles, though, because he's yet to be sick of Archie... even though Archie literally got sick of him like three minutes ago. ] I'd love to see more anytime you're free. And I'm glad I'm here, too. I'm glad we both are.
[ And everyone else, too, though he was certain that not everyone's homes felt half as hopeless as his. Still... Earth was nice. ]
