[ Finn squeezed his hand back, letting out a sigh and a little more tension. ]

Yeah, you're right. We still have each other. [ He hadn't lost anyone. Some other things were gone now, probably forever, but his friends were here and alive. What more could he really ask for?

But there was still very little he could do with himself, especially anything that could make a difference. For now, he curled up a little more on the couch, leaning over to press against Mightyena and Archie. ]

I'm glad you're here. Glad you're all right. Everything else will come together.

Yeah, [he says, with a light smile. that's the most important thing, isn't it? no matter how awful it was what they went through, that they're able to sit here together. that lots of other imPorts are doubtlessly doing the same thing. guzma and lucina, darin and allura. poe and 622, kylo and ronan. apollo and midnighter. max and lester, ashley and cayde, rex and andy...

all the ones he knows of that got out unscathed. they're together and as much as what they loss hurt, what they kept means a lot.] I'm glad you're here, too.

[ Finn hums a little, smiles a little, but his eyes are closed and he finally looks like he's relaxing a little bit. Rest has been difficult, needless to say. ]

How long can you stay?

As long as you want me to, [he says, hooking his arm around finn's shoulders proper, lightly running his fingertips over his hair.] I have nowhere to be.

[ Well, Finn didn't really want to keep him if he had better places to be. So he just shook his head. ]

Just thought a nap would be nice is all. Sleeping's been-... Mm.

Yeah. I get that.

[he's slept okay himself - but he could tell finn hasn't had the same luck.]

You wanna go to bed?

[ Finn stays quiet for a second because the answer is yes and no. He should. He doesn't want to leave this. He doesn't want to make things weird. He's already made things weird.

So Finn tries to give his best version of the truth after a long beat. ] I don't want to be alone. And I really like your company.

... [ His lips turn into a grimace. ] I'm making this weird. I'm sorry.

[he laughs softly, wrapping his arm around finn's shoulders a little tighter.]

You're not makin' it weird. Don't worry about it. I'll stay. You can sleep here with me an' Mightyena, if you want.

[he clicks his tongue at the dog pokémon, and it snorts before jumping up next to finn and resting its head against his thigh. comfy. warm. soft.]

[ Finn lets out a happy sigh, allowing himself a smile before tucking his legs close and leaning further into Mightyena and Archie. ]

I probably won't even be able to sleep. [ Oh yes, he will. His eyes are already closed. ] How's Aegis? Do you know?

Don't think I won't happily sit here with ya for hours, Finn. I'd hope I was quite upfront about enjoyin' your company.

[it's not said seriously-- he can see finn is starting to relax. it's a nice feeling, to know he's helping with that.]

They're good. Most are on break for a lil' while, as they should. Y'got plenty of time to sleep before you gotta go back. Helix is probably the emptiest it's been for a while right now.

[ Finn smiles as Archie talks, leaning into him ] I like your company, too. [ He already said that. And his words sound a little mumbled, too. ]

Good. That's good... Hopefully, we can relax for awhile...
