Scofflaw it is. [ Poe leaned over the table, gesturing to the bartender. ]

Hey, Charlie! A Scofflaw and a Bee's Knees, please and thanks!

[ Charlie nodded and waved, before he caught sight of Finn and his eyes widened. ]

Finn? Hey, man! Long time no see!

[ Oh. ] Hi! [ Even though he waves back happily, he does take a beat to make sure he hasn't met this man.

It's not unfamiliar to him, running into people he had known before. It just never really gets easier or less awkward. But he steps to Poe's side to extend his hand to the bartender, keeping up the smile. ]

Sorry, I, uh, ported out. It's good to meet you again, though.

[ Charlie looks confused for a second, shooting a look at Poe, but Poe just gives him a sympathetic smile. ]

Dangers of being an import. We don't always remember everything when we come back.

[ Charlie glanced back at Finn, his smile turning a little sad, but he reached out and shook Finn's hand warmly. ]

Good to meet you again, Finn. Hope I get to see you two tearing up the dancefloor like old times.

[ He turned to go get their drinks and Poe shot a look at Finn, having to speak a little too loud to be heard over the music. ]

Sorry, I should have warned you. A few people here already know you.

That's okay. [ He feels worse for Charlie than himself, and the whole thing does dampen his mood a little bit, but he tries to give Poe a little smile and not show it.

He opts to drop the subject for now. ] I love the place so far. You and I have to dance later. [ Like old times. Sounded nice. ]

We can dance now, if you want to. [ He blurted it out a little too quickly. ]

Charlie'll hold the drinks back for us if I ask him to.

[ Shouldn't they at least wait for Archie? He doesn't want the other to feel left out.

Just have to owe him a dance, too, Finn figures with a quick glance towards the changing rooms. Then, a smile. ] Yeah, okay.

[ Archie can join when he's ready!! That's Poe's reasoning, anyway. The agreement makes him grin widely and yell back at Charlie: ]

Hey, buddy, put those on ice for a minute, I'm gonna introduce Finn to the dance floor.

[ He pushes off the bar, backing up a few feet and then holding out his hand with a warm, lopsided smile. ]

Come on, then. Show me how it's done.

I was drunk. I have no idea how it's done. [ Finn laughs about it but easily takes Poe's hand, anyway, leading both out onto the dance floor.

He's a little more self-conscious this time thanks to being around someone he actually knows, but the memory of that rave and just copying what everyone else is doing seems to work all right for him so far. He also just... doesn't know how close he and Poe are supposed to be, sober as he is. ]

[ Poe laughed, getting them out to a good space, and then lined himself up beside Finn and put an arm around his waist. ]

Okay, put your hand on my shoulder and just follow my steps.

[ He had almost expected something complicated but this was easy! Finn stepped in line with Poe, smiling wider and wider as the moves came kinda natural. He didn't do an actual dance last time other than just wiggling around.

Then he trips and nearly falls over Poe but rights himself, laughing. ] Sorry, sorry. This is awesome. I could get used to this.

[ Poe immediately moves to catch him, a second arm gripping around Finn's chest as he hauls him upright, grinning stupidly. ]

Not bad, right? It's called the charleston. And you can get more flashy with it, the better you get at it.

[ Oooh, he kinda wants to see the flashy versions. ] Is this how they danced back in the- the 20s? [ Congrats, he remembered the era.

But even as he asks, he's watching his feet with a smile, making sure it's right. ]

Yeah, they had a few others, but this was the main one.

[ And he adds in a couple steps, wiggling and wobbling, just to show off. ]

I can teach you the lindy hop too, if you like.

[ Finn laughs again and tries to imitate. While he fails the steps, whatever he ends up doing doesn't actually look half bad. ]

Yes, please, absolutely. Teach me all of them.

[ Poe turns to face Finn, reaching out and taking his hands. ]

Alright, follow my lead.

[ He goes slow enough that Finn can see what he's doing, but he's definitely getting more into it than he was before - pulling Finn close every few steps and even turning him around, once. It's enough of a show that other people are starting to give them more space, or look over and watch - though that might be more because of how famous Poe is than how good his dancing is. ]

[ Finn's smile doesn't falter once, stepping in time with Poe's movements and paying rapt attention. So much so that he doesn't actually notice or care about the circle that's formed around them.

It doesn't take long before Finn's... at least intermediate at this new dance. Not as good as Poe but he's getting there. ] I'm almost a natural. [ It's a joke since he thinks he's awful at this. But it's fun! ]

[finally, archie returns. it looks a little like... he just hulked out the tux and ripped the arms off? why is he like this? that doesn't even belong to him! he's chosen a coat with a little tail, at least. he looks alright, even with the new ugly scar stretching up one arm and the tattoos down the other. he's not-- if this was real, he wouldn't be allowed in.]

Yo, yo! [he chirps, rejoining the two. why is his hair mussed up? probably best not to ask.] I'm gonna, ah, bounce soon. Gotta... do something. With... someone. It's important.

[ Poe despairs. There goes the deposit. He lets go of Finn's hands so he can walk over to Archie. ]

Wait, what? We just got here!

[hatejakku]

You sure? [ Finn was being serious when he said that Archie was welcome!

At the same time, judging by his overall Look, he can kind of guess what important thing has come up. ] You work fast.

I'm being paid for it.

[a beat. he saunters over, seemingly trying to direct finn back to poe.]

Uh-- not like that. It turns out I can gain Charlie's forgiveness if I do something for him. Not what you're thinking, you sick fucks. I just need to help him with something with his grandma later on.

So, that's later. [ Poe says, frowning deeply. Yeah he's seen Charlie. He knows what's really up, here. Grandma or no grandma. ]

You can still dance for a bit now, right?

[ He's being paid to-

Oh. Oh, now Finn gets it. He's caught between extremes now. He doesn't want to push Archie like Poe's trying to do but he doesn't want him to think he's not wanted either. Finn still follows the direction, though, bumping gently into Poe's shoulder. ]

If you're sure. [ Finn's got the puppy dog eyes on full blast right now, fyi. ] I still owe you a dance, you know. [ Because he just decided. ]

[archie just laughs goodnaturedly, unaffected by anything that's going on here.]

I didn't say I was leaving now, ya dramatic idiots. [he grins.] 'Sides, I gotta see if either of ya dance as well sober as when you do drunk! Come on!

[he grabs both their hands, yanking them back into the dancing crowd. maybe a little overtight on poe's.]

[ He considers being a petulant baby and telling them to go ahead and dance without him but he decides that since Archie clearly conceded a little (even if he is gripping too hard), that he should maybe not be an ass. ]

Finn, teach him the charleston.

[ Oh. Finn smiles again, clearly delighted by this turn of events. ]

Right, Poe showed me a few dances you probably already know. See? [ Still keeping his hand in Archie's, he provides a few steps that are actually damn near perfect. ] Put your hand on my shoulder.
