Name: Finn
Canon: Star Wars
Age: 23
Appearance: TLJ-era picture
Canon Point: post-Resistance Reborn novel (aka a few days after The Last Jedi)
Background: Wookieepedia
Personality:
Six Traits: Loyal to those he cares about far more than he probably should be. Honest only because he's a terrible liar even when he tries. Brave when he absolutely needs to be. Curious about everything due to his practically sterile upbringing. Logical to the point of almost being cold if it means protecting his friends. Scared and anxious and panicked about the new life he's trying to forge when nothing ever seems to slow down.
Major Event: Finn's most defining moment was leaving the First Order. Even the conscious decision to leave is pretty huge for a stormtrooper in this era, but succeeding is a complete slap in the face of everything the Order stands for. His entire childhood under their rule has molded him into the person he is, which is surprisingly gentle and affectionate once he realized that he lived in a world lacking those aspects.
Motivations: Firstly, to protect and help those he cares about. Secondly, to destroy the First Order and ensure that they'll never be able to do to another child what they did to him. Thirdly, reluctantly, revenge.
Impression to Others: Supporters of the First Order (if they know he exists and what he's done) see him as a traitor to their greater cause. He's also an incredibly dangerous symbol to them, as a walking mark of freedom. Supporters of the Resistance and Republic see him as a hero. He's the guy that broke conditioning to destroy Starkiller Base. Some probably have suspicions about him, given his past, but most look up to him. Finn has no idea what to make of the Resistance's interpretation of him as he's just trying to survive and maybe figure out who is and who he wants to be. He embraces the First Order interpretation. Though he doesn't like being called a traitor, he proudly wears the title of Rebel Scum.
Handling Conflict: Run away, mostly. Fighting to survive is how Finn operates. He has no hang-ups about turning tail for his life unless it meant sacrificing someone else. However, if running was not an option, Finn stands his ground and fights. In a non-combat scenario, Finn takes on conflict with a cool glare, thinks his words through carefully before speaking if he thinks he needs to speak at all, and follows through with his own actions if he must. He remains professional and level-headed when angry.
Weaknesses/Temptations:
Hatred and Anger: Finn has no qualms with fighting or killing the people who had hurt him during his childhood or hurt his friends, even when the other party is defenseless. He, for the most part, keeps a level head and doesn't do anything rash if it doesn't suit him or the situation.
Self-Sacrifice/Suicide: Finn's nearly gotten himself killed to protect others twice up to his canonpoint, the latter being a blatant and pointless suicide run. He's used to thinking of himself as expendable thanks to his upbringing, and automatically assumes that he cares for others more than they do for him. Sadly, he's all right with that, but not knowing what his life means to others leads him to hurt them. Thankfully, a friend taught him that it's better to live for his friends than to die for no reason, so he's walked back on this weakness a bit.
Overly Giving: Finn cares a lot about people, especially his friends. As said, he's willing to give his life for them at a moment's notice, but he's also willing to give more of himself if he thought they needed or wanted it. He's not a gullible man and he does have lines with most people, but he doesn't think much about what could happen to him if a friend needed something that goes beyond the usual. (ie "Hey, can you give me a hand with thi- NO, FINN, NOT LITERALLY, PUT THE KNIFE DOWN-")
Sins:
Mass murder Fratricide (killing fellow Stormtroopers) Inaction leading to death or harm Wrath Hate Suicidal ideation (a possible knee jerk reaction to protect others) Murderous thoughts Selfishness (for deserting FO and some imaginary things) Lit commanding officer on fire once (to save his life) Lying Destruction of property Aided in a planet's destruction Failure to help/save others
Powers/Abilities:
The Force: It should be noted upfront that Finn's unaware that he's Force-sensitive.
The Force is a sort of life energy that moves through and is a part of everything. Some people, like Finn, have the ability to feel and manipulate the Force. This essentially means that they're telekinetic and telepathic. Hearing other's thoughts, moving objects with their mind, seeing visions of the future, feeling other's emotions, knowing when someone they love is killed, etc.
Since Finn is unaware of his ability, he thinks that knowing when people are near, predicting things before they happen, and having deep connections with people he just met are things he has in common with everyone. Over time and possibly under extreme duress, he'll slowly realize and accept he has this power and tap into it, either on purpose or unconsciously. He may be afraid of it and/or have no control over it, but these things will be decided in time.
The Force can be very powerful, so nullifying it to not work on high level demons or something is fine with me.

Network:
[ Finn's still trying to process being here, and it hasn't fully sunk in yet. Everything's been taken in stride as if he's just dreaming. The fact that it's somewhere dangerous, that his friends are somewhere dangerous, honestly helps. He has a mission, something to focus on, and there's no time for panic.
The whole place seems to be a problem, and he's resolved to not trust anyone too much except for Poe and Rey. So he's done a lot of thinking about getting on the network to make a post at all, but there's only so much research he can do by himself. After a long time to think it over, he decides to be blunt and just ask a question that just everyone's probably asked themselves.
It's a video, naturally, and he looks serious. Not exactly upset but busy at the very least. ]
I can't be the only person to think about this so I decided to just ask everyone, if that's all right.
Escape. Before the powers here decide we're good enough to leave, I mean. Someone must have tried it by now. How does that usually end? Anyone make it?
[ The answers aren't going to sway him away from trying but more ideas can't hurt. Maybe more allies and resources, too. Though, he already has to remind himself, he has to be careful to trust.]
